MSW, LISW-S, LCSW she/her

EVIE HEFLIN

Evie Heflin is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S) in Ohio and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kentucky and Indiana, with more than 12 years of clinical experience in community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings. Evie was drawn to this work through personal experience searching for a mental health clinician who understood her social locations and the importance of feeling fully seen.

Evie is a queer, anti-oppression-informed therapist who works with LGBTQ+ clients, artists, creatives, community organizers, and first responders. She understands the structural and interpersonal challenges of living authentically in a world that often resists difference, as well as the toll that anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and shapeshifting to survive can take.

Evie’s approach is trauma-sensitive and grounded in client autonomy. She aims to create a healing space where clients can explore painful patterns, reconnect with their values, and move through the world with greater intention and integrity. Evie also supports clients with identity work and offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for those seeking novel healing options.

NERN OSTENDORF

MSW, LISW they/them

Nern Ostendorf is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Ohio. They earned their Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati in 2023 after spending five years as a mental health case manager in community mental health. Nern also has a background in community organizing and advocacy focused on economic justice, transportation justice, and LGBTQ+ rights.

Nern is an anti-oppression-informed, psychodynamically oriented therapist who works with clients of all identities and backgrounds, with a focus on LGBTQ+, transgender, non-binary, and gender-questioning adults. They bring a critical awareness of the Western assumptions and standards that often shape the mental health field and help clients look beyond surface-level symptoms to explore deeper relational patterns, past trauma, and systemic forces affecting identity, connection, and sense of self.

Nern views therapy as a healing relationship grounded in deep understanding. They aim to create a space where clients can better understand themselves, examine how life experiences have shaped their relationships and sense of self, and have their struggles taken seriously. Nern may be a strong fit for people who feel frustrated or disillusioned with surface-level therapy and are looking for deeper, more reflective work.

SAM CONLEY

MSW, LISW she/her

Sam Conley is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Ohio who works with people across a range of ages and life stages. She brings a grounded, compassionate presence to therapy, with an understanding that reaching out for support can feel especially vulnerable for people who have been made to feel like their emotions or experiences are too much.

Sam is a trauma-informed, affirming therapist who supports clients through painful experiences and seasons of change. As a gay woman who has faced many curveballs in life, she is especially well suited to working with people who feel deeply, struggle to understand their reactions, or feel weighed down by what life has handed them. She meets clients with warmth, honesty, and without judgment.

Sam’s approach is person-centered and strengths-based. She aims to create a healing space where clients can come to better understand themselves, feel more steady in the face of what they are carrying, and move toward a life that feels more manageable and more their own.
