OUR MODEL

Rhizome Therapy Cooperative was founded in 2025 and operates on a non-hierarchical, collaborative model that centers the therapist-client relationship. We believe that the knowledge and experience therapists and clients both bring to the treatment relationship are essential for lasting change.​

 

Rhizome uses a cooperative business model that extends to our clinical ethos.  We want our clinicians to practice in a clinical setting that strives to minimize many of the driving factors that contribute to burnout.  Additionally, all of our clinicians have a path to ownership and are given equal voting power for major business decisions.

 

Our bylaws are built around the Mondragon Cooperative principles of education, sovereignty of labor, the instrumental and subordinate nature of capital, wage solidarity, democratic organization, participatory management, open admission, inter-cooperation, universality, and social transformation.
